History
In 1916 Albert Einstein wrote to a friend “A splendid light has dawned on me about the absorption and emission of radiation. Einstein never created a laser, but at that time he theorized the foundation for the concept of laser light .THE FIRST RUBY LASER WAS DEVELOPED IN 1960 AND MANY OTHER lasers were rapidly created thereafter. Dental researchers began investigating laser’s potential. The year 1997 saw the first true hard tissue laser. Soft tissue diode laser emerged in the late 1990s as well.
LASERS have been used in medicine for the last thirty years but their use in dentistry is relatively new going back to the first dental laser in the early 90’s .
The word LASER is an acronym for LASER AMPLIFICATION BY STIMULATED EMISSION OF RADIATION.
Laser is a high tech devise that generates a tiny beam of very concentrated light. This beam of light brings energy into your mouth through a tiny fiber, to help remove areas of infection and remove gum disease around the teeth with great precision and accuracy.
The laser is an effective tool for improving overall dental health with respect to pain, bleeding, swelling, tissue removal, and recovery time than traditional gum surgery. You don't have to worry about bleeding, stitches or post-treatment infection, because your gums haven't been cut. Lasers are unique because it can treat targeted areas while leaving the surrounding tissue unaffected .In addition, you will also enjoy fewer follow-up visits and less time in the dentist chair.
Laser is the wave of future and we have the facilities to bring you some of the latest treatments available in this exciting field of dentistry.
